The health of Kissi
Back
The spur nail
Kissi has a spur (extra) nail at the left back leg and I asked about it from the Vet when we were taking the first vaccinations. She said that this would be good to be removed, but not until arround Kissi's first birthday. Otherwise the spur can grow back and often it is not build correctly again, so there is a real risk of getting attached to the things it's not supposed to and get infected. So, we are quite sure of making this operation later. The action should be quite easy and fast, done with local anaesthesia, so the pet is not needed to get into sleep. Also the wound is normally quickly healed.
Navel bulb (sorry, no idea what this is in English)
At the check up of puppies the vet fould a little navel bulb from Kissi, that we didn't find any more when I went to get Kissi home. We talked about it and the breeder agreed to handle the costs if something related to this appears later in the years of Kissi. Other puppies didn't have the problem at all, and also the vet that checked Kissi out when we were having her vaccinations, didn't find the bulb. Let's hope this will not bring any troubles later on.
